Rules and Regulations

Junior Team Tennis is sponsored by COTA, a community tennis association under the guidance of Georgia Tennis Association (GTA) and USTA National, USTA Southern Section and USTA Georgia. The purpose of the Clarke-Oconee Tennis Association (COTA\ Junior Team Tennis (JTT) is to promote and provide an organized format of team match play for junior players within the counties of Athens-Clarke, Barrow, Jackson, Madison, Morgan, and Oconee.
Any child, ages 6-18 must have completed a series of tennis lessons or has undergone an on court evaluation may participate in league play. The junior age group, ages 10-18 has been trained on the basic skills of tennis, knows the fundamentals of keeping score, is familiar with singles and doubles strategy, and the competition of team play. The QuickStart (QST) format, ages 10 and under play on modified, smaller scaled 60 ft courts. The QST 8u division is a cooperative play and learn program involving the support of coaches, parents and players to ensure these children are having fun while learning the game of tennis.
